Layering up
The weather is starting to turn and it’s becoming that chilly season where the scarf comes out of the drawer and you start thinking about how you can mix up different pieces of your wardrobe without going over the top.
There’s a fine art to layering and if I’m completely honest, I’m not sure I’ve got it properly nailed yet, but I’m going to keep trying.
It’s definitely one of my favourite seasons of the year. At least when it’s dry and there’s that snap in the air. The rain can stay away as far as I’m concerned.
Reading
I’ve rediscovered a love of reading, whether it’s magazines, books or blogs I’m really enjoying just taking some time to consume written content again. At the moment I’m working my way through the Four Hour Work Week by Tim Ferriss and it’s a pretty decent read so far.
I’ll be looking to add more to my queue once this book is done, so if you have any suggestions then fire them over. I’m open to all ideas.
Podcasts
It’s crazy just how productive I feel when I’m listening to a podcast whilst doing work, it’s like I’m killing two birds with one stone.
Most of the podcasts that I listen to are entrepreneur, blogger based but I’ve picked up some great actionable advice as well as renewed my motivation for things after listening to them.
I do still spend time listening to music, but dedicating a few hours of my working day to listen to some educational or thought provoking podcasts is definitely one of my new favourite things.
Zara
I can’t remember if I wrote this as one of the things I was loving my previous post in this series, but I’m obsessed.
This shop is absolutely killing it for me at the moment in terms of male fashion. Whether it’s footwear, clothing or accessories I’m just trying so hard not to blow all my cash on everything that I see when I walk into my local store.
It’s even worse looking on their website because all your payment details are pretty much stored and ready to order at a click.
Out of all the high street stores, they are the one that take my money this month.
BUY ALL THE THINGS!
These are the things that I’m loving in October. What are your favourite things of the month so far? Let me know in the comments!

There is something about cosying down in the autumn with a good book, it’s something I really want to make time for this season, but with blogs and keeping up with social media, it can be hard! xx
