This Blog post:
It has totally helped me get my head around the type of content that I want to be creating. I no longer want to struggle for blog post ideas or have to wait for a weekend of good weather to get photos done in order to get my blog post written and published.
I’m feeling an air of new life with the blog and I’m excited to see where things go.
If you cast yourself back to my previous posts when I first started this blog, I was terrified of flying. Okay maybe terrified is overkill, but flying made me feel uneasy and it put me off traveling abroad for quite a while.
Now I’m living for adventure and can’t get enough of heading to different countries. Having just returned from a trip to Dubrovnik, we’ve already booked our next getaway. We’re heading to Riga in August after picking up cheap return tickets in the Ryanair sale.
There’s so much to see in the world and I’m determined now to see as much of it as possible. I’m extremely happy that I got over my fear of flying and can now travel without hindrance. Well apart from my bank balance of course.
I’ve always struggled with Pinterest as I didn’t really see the point in it before, but I’ve started using it again and I’m enjoying it. It’s great to put together some inspiration boards for fashion and styles that I want to try. Another thing I’ve been using it for is to plan my adventures.
As I said above, we’ve been trying to travel more this year and Pinterest helps me to organise the places that we want to visit or things that we should do when in a new city.
If you hadn’t noticed, I’ve also added a new Pinterest widget into the sidebar to share the things that I’m loving/pinning with you all.
Ok, so I may be one of the only people in the world who says this, but I’m actually loving commuting every day. Yes, I do have to get up at 6 am and have a pretty long journey but my productivity levels have shot up.
During my hour and a half journey, I spend time on my laptop doing blog stuff, whether that’s increasing my page load speed, writing posts, social media or interacting with other content. It’s great.
I’m actually feeling like I’m achieving something with my day in both a work capacity and towards personal goals.
I used to be a proper night owl and would find most of my productivity came late at night and into the small hours of the morning leaving me shattered the next day.
Now I’m the complete opposite. I wake up in the morning with a bit of bounce rather than struggling to get out of bed.
Being productive in the morning also means I can be productive at home in the evening rather than putting hobbies to the side to do housework and other things.
Commuting is a winner for me and at least, for the time being, I feel like I’m winning at life.
