I feel like I’ve started every recent post talking about how the weather has definitely changed, but one of my favourite things about the weather changing is the colours that appear around this time of year. The different shades of reds, orange and browns are truly stunning when the glowing sun hits them just right and it’s easy to see how fashion takes influence from the surroundings at this time of year.
One of my favourite colours to wear in the Autumn/Winter seasons are browns. That’s why this cord jacket was such a must-have item to add to my wardrobe.
Cord is one of these things that you either love or hate and I’ve seriously grown to love it. I’m not sure I’d be able to pull off cord trousers, but this jacket with detachable shearling collar ticks all the boxes for me.
I paired this River Island jacket with a grey turtleneck from Pull and Bear as well as black distressed jeans from Topman and a pair of borg lined desert boots.
I used this photoshoot opportunity to try something different in both how I was in front of the camera and in how I edited them and I really love how they have turned out.
There’s something quite editorial about them.
That may just be my opinion though, but I’d love to hear your thoughts on the photos and the outfit.
Let me know!
This post is in partnership with River Island, but as always all opinions and words are my own.
